The Startup Summer Camp team has years of experience teaching, mentoring student entrepreneurs, running startup events and leading youth and adult international tours.
Our team’s experience facilitating startup events, like innovation days and Startup Weekends and international athletic and innovation tours prompted us to combine our two passions and create our current summer camp programs that focus on startups, entrepreneurship and leadership for both youth and adults.
Our Beginnings
Startup Summer Camp was founded and is led by Kyle Ashby, who also founded and owns Travel in Company LLC, the parent company of Startup Summer Camp, as well as THE SANDBOX Santa Barbara (a coworking and shared space in Santa Barbara California), and Startup Santa Barbara or StartupSB.
All three companies partner with Startup Summer Camp.

Our Parent Company
Travel in Company connects people around common interests with itineraries to teach and inspire, allowing travelers, students, a team, or complete strangers to create connections, opportunities, businesses and careers. We provide unique travel and education experiences and customized adventures around the world. Our programs focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, startups, community, culture, impact, creative exploration, photography, local music and athletics.
Travel in Company (the umbrella company of Startup Summer Camp) partners directly with Startup Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara to host the Startup Summer Camp program and works closely with a number of partners to create an amazing camp experience.
